Data Retention

How CallScaler stores and automatically purges call data across your account.

Retention policy

CallScaler keeps core account data for up to 5 years (60 months) across all plans. This includes call records, recordings, transcripts, voicemails, SMS history, form submissions, and related usage logs.

What is covered

A scheduled cleanup job removes records older than the retention window. Purges run in batches and include associated redacted-audio files when present. The Data Retention page lists every data type covered:

  • Call recordings & metadata
  • AI transcriptions & summaries
  • Text message history
  • Form submissions
  • Voicemail recordings
  • Billing & usage logs
  • Conversion tracking data
  • DNI session data

Open retention settings

1. Go to Addons → Data Retention.
2. The 5-Year Retention card lists the data types kept for the full retention window.
3. Use this page as your reference for what is included in automatic retention — there are no per-account knobs to adjust; the 5-year window applies to every plan at no extra cost.

If you need account-specific billing details for storage or usage, check Settings → Billing for your live rates and plan details.

Important limitations

Retention controls apply to future purge windows, not historical restores. Data removed by retention cleanup cannot be recovered from the app.

If your compliance policy requires retaining data longer than 5 years, export data on a recurring schedule before the retention window expires.
