Browser Calling

Place outbound calls directly from your browser with optional recording and AI transcription.

What browser calling does

Browser Calling lets you place outbound calls directly from your computer in Outbound Calling. You choose a CallScaler number as caller ID, type the destination, and talk through your device microphone.

Before you start

1. Go to Addons and make sure Outbound Calling is enabled.
2. Open Outbound Calling.
3. In Quick Dial, keep the mode set to Browser.
4. Allow microphone access when your browser prompts you.

Browser mode requires a secure context and microphone permission. If browser calling is unavailable, switch to Phone Bridge.

Start a browser call

1. In Outbound Calling, open Quick Dial.
2. Select a Caller ID number.
3. Enter the Destination number.
4. (Optional) Enable Record and AI transcribe.
5. Click Start Call.
6. Use in-call controls to mute, send keypad tones, or hang up.

If you enable AI transcribe, recording is enabled automatically so transcription can run after the call.

Call recording and transcription

When recording is enabled, CallScaler stores the outbound recording in your call history. If AI transcription is also enabled, transcript and AI analysis are added after processing completes. Review results in the call detail panel from recent outbound calls or your call log.

Phone Bridge fallback

If you prefer to talk on your cell phone or desk line, switch to Phone Bridge in Quick Dial. In this mode, CallScaler rings your phone first, then bridges to the destination after you answer.

Billing and rates

Outbound Calling has no addon fee. Outbound minutes are billed using your current plan rates. Check your live rates in Settings → Billing.
