HOW IT WORKS

What is Pay Per Call?

To learn how the CallScaler marketplace works, we need to first understand what pay-per-call is...

Pay per call is a strictly performance based method for businesses to land new customers. It's similar to pay-per-click Google ads, however, instead of a business paying to get a ad click, they pay to get an inbound call from a potential customer.

Pay per call has been growing rapidly in recent years because in most business verticals, a call will turn into a customer up to 15x more than a visit to their website.

At CallScaler, we decided to build this marketplace to help businesses get more calls from potential customers and help experienced marketers work with businesses in a streamlined way.

Pay Per Call Example

Let's run through a typical example of how pay per call would work in practice...

Joe's Pest Control wants more customers

Joe's pest control wants more potential customers calling their business, so they create an offer on the CallScaler marketplace and decide that it's worth paying $25 for a qualified inbound call...

A marketer, Bob, sees their offer & decides to help

Bob creates ads on Google & Facebook targeting homeowners in need of pest control with generic verbiage like "Call now to get help with your cockroach problem."

A homeowner sees the ad Bob created & calls

A homeowner who is having an issue with cockroaches is searching for a solution and calls the number on Bob's ad...

The call on Bob's ad forwards to Joe's Pest Control

If the call is qualified, Joe's Pest Control pays Bob $25 automatically through the CallScaler Marketplace for sending them the call.

PAY PER CALL QUESTIONS

Frequently Asked Questions

It lets businesses work with marketers on a performance basis. The business only pays for qualified calls and they don’t have to worry about paying an expensive agency thousands per month to new customers.

It also allows marketers to do what they do best without having to do the work of landing clients. They can create ads, do search engine optimization, create effective marketing campaigns, and get paid based on their performance on a per-call basis.

On the CallScaler Marketplace, businesses or networks can set parameters to determine quality calls. The most typical parameter is the call duration. If a call is over X amount of seconds (usually 90s or 120s), then it is considered a qualified call.

Even if a call lasts more than 90s or 120s, a business or network can mark calls as unqualified manually if it was a commercial call or the caller was not actually looking for the service that the business provides.

A pay per call network is essentially a middle man between the end company that is buying the call and the marketer who is creating ads to generate calls.

They create relationships with a variety of different businesses to work out pay per call deals and then offer the pay per call deal to other marketers and affiliates and take a cut between what they get paid and what they pay marketers & affiliates that are promoting the offer.
